ABOUT Laura Atkinson​

In 2012, Laura Atkinson began her career teaching secondary mathematics and has since served in a variety of impactful roles, including Special Education Coordinator, Academic Dean, Secondary School Principal, and University Instructor. These experiences have helped her provide a holistic, student-centered approach to academic success and college readiness.

Laura holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, as well as Master’s degrees in Exercise Science and Special Education from Florida Atlantic University. She is certified to teach Exceptional Student Education, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Biology, and holds endorsements in both Reading and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Her experience spans diverse educational settings, from elite private schools and highly selective charter programs to public schools and one-on-one academic coaching, giving her a nuanced understanding of student needs across learning environments. As a former ACT, SAT, and SSD Coordinator, Laura brings a strategic perspective to standardized test preparation and the accommodations process, making her an invaluable asset for families navigating the college admissions journey.

Laura is especially passionate about guiding students through every step of the college planning process, from building a strong academic profile and crafting compelling personal statements to selecting the right-fit schools. She works with students to develop executive functioning skills, strengthen interpersonal communication, and become confident self-advocates.

With her expertise, personalized approach, and unwavering commitment to student growth, Laura empowers each learner to pursue higher education with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
